Royal-D Cup: Recharging the Community Through Youth Football
Royal-D Myanmar asked Ruder Finn Era to amplify the Royal-D Cup, a U-14 boys' football tournament for state schools nationwide, in 2025. The team built the social and digital communications plan, creative concept and on-ground coverage direction, reaching 680,700 people and positioning the electrolyte drink as a brand that recharges the community.
The challenge
Royal-D, an electrolyte beverage, wanted to stand for something beyond hydration. Its U-14 tournament across state schools was a genuine investment in Myanmar's next generation, but a schools tournament does not become a national story on its own.
The brand needed the Royal-D Cup to drive awareness, excitement and participation online, and to strengthen its positioning as a brand that energises and empowers young people through sport and community spirit.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era developed the full social and digital communications plan, from campaign strategy and creative concept to content direction and mood boards for the on-ground photography, so that every match and every image spoke the same visual language of youthful energy and teamwork.
The storytelling was tied throughout to Royal-D's brand purpose, Recharging the Community, and sustained across the tournament period rather than concentrated on the final, building an emotional connection with parents, players and fans on Royal-D's digital platforms.
