vivo V30 5G: Light The Night
vivo needed the V30 5G to stand out in Myanmar's crowded smartphone market and engage the KOLs who influence buyers. Ruder Finn Era managed the launch communications, from executive positioning and media relations to KOL coordination, around a Light The Night launch event. The launch earned 84 clippings, all positive, with review content reaching more than 2 million people.
The challenge
Each new vivo model arrives into a market where rivals are launching too, and digital influence carries unusual weight in Myanmar's purchase decisions. For the V30 5G, the primary challenge was to create buzz and awareness and make sure the device stood out in a crowded field. That required strategic planning to reach and engage both potential customers and the key opinion leaders they trust, and a launch that gave media a reason to cover the phone on its merits.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era took responsibility for the communications around the launch: internal communications, executive positioning and stakeholder engagement, including media relations and KOL coordination. The Light The Night media launch event brought press, creators and vivo's leadership together on one stage.
By investing in media and influencer relationships before and after the event rather than treating it as a single night, the team strengthened vivo's brand presence in Myanmar and made sure the V30 5G's features were communicated clearly and consistently across earned coverage and creator content.
The results
The launch generated 84 earned clippings with 100 percent positive sentiment, 25 media in attendance and review content reaching more than 2 million people.
