L'Oreal Paris: Because She's Always Been Worth It

For Mother's Day in Cambodia, L'Oreal Paris and Ruder Finn Era ran a two-phase KOL campaign in which eight influencers and their mothers shared stories of the bond between Khmer mothers and daughters, with hero makeup and skincare woven into the content. The campaign generated more than 4.1M views and 480K engagements across Facebook and TikTok.

The challenge

Mother's Day is a meaningful cultural moment in Cambodia, but it is also a crowded one, with every brand competing for the same sentiment. L'Oreal Paris wanted to deepen its emotional connection with Cambodian consumers under its Because She's Always Been Worth It platform while also driving product consideration and retail traffic.

The brand needed storytelling authentic enough to earn attention and engagement, with product integration that felt natural rather than transactional.

Our solution

Ruder Finn Era built the campaign on real relationships: eight influencers appeared alongside their own mothers, telling relatable stories that highlighted the emotional bond between Khmer mothers and daughters and what it means to see a mother as always having been worth it.

The campaign ran in two phases, with hero makeup and skincare products integrated into the content so consideration grew from the story itself. A drive-to-retail partner strategy was embedded within the KOL content to send traffic to key retail channels, while the format invited audiences to share their own stories across social platforms.

Sixteen KOL videos across Facebook and TikTok gave the brand both emotional resonance and a measurable path to purchase.
