Tribal Visual Lab: Introducing Cambodia's First XR Studio
Tribal Visual Lab needed to decide when and how to announce its XR virtual production studio to the Cambodian market. Ruder Finn Era pitched the studio to media as Cambodia's pioneering XR facility, with media tours, hands-on demonstrations and exclusive interviews, earning more than USD 8,500 in media value and five media tours that introduced the company to the market.
The challenge
Tribal Visual Lab brought extended reality virtual production to Cambodia, offering businesses and production companies capabilities that did not previously exist in the country. Cutting-edge technology is not self-explanatory, however, and the studio's pivotal challenge was determining when and how to make a grand entrance into a market that had never seen anything like it.
The launch had to make XR tangible to journalists and prospective partners who had no reference point for it.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era's angle was firsts: Cambodia's pioneering XR virtual production studio, a story about the country's creative industry as much as about one company. The team built a tailored media pitching strategy around it, targeting the outlets and partners most likely to influence business and production decisions.
Because XR has to be seen to be believed, the programme centred on media tours and invitations for targeted partners to experience the studio first-hand, supported by exclusive interviews with the founders. Meticulous planning turned each visit into coverage and each visitor into an informed advocate.
The results
The launch successfully introduced Tribal Visual Lab to the Cambodian market.
